Welcome to 'What's the Evidence?'

‘What’s the Evidence?’ is dedicated to bridging the gap between orthodontic research and clinical practice. As an orthodontist committed to clinical excellence and continuous learning, I understand the importance of staying updated with the latest research and best practices in our field.

The Inspiration Behind the Flashcards

The idea for these flashcards originated during my time as a resident at King’s College London, where I completed my Master of Science in Orthodontics. Throughout my training, I encountered a wealth of information and numerous groundbreaking studies that shaped my approach to orthodontic care. However, I noticed that accessing and assimilating this information efficiently was often challenging, especially for busy practitioners and residents.

Creating the Flashcards

With this realization, I embarked on a project to create comprehensive, evidence-based flashcards. My goal was to distill complex research findings into concise, easily digestible formats that could serve as quick reference guides for orthodontic professionals. Each flashcard was meticulously crafted to include critical insights from individual studies, best practices, and clinical recommendations.

The Blog: Exploring Untapped Topics in Orthodontics

In addition to flashcards, What's the Evidence? features a dedicated blog on various topics in Orthodontics. The blog's purpose is to shed light on underrepresented areas in orthodontics, providing a platform for exploring niche topics, discussing emerging trends, and sharing innovative approaches. By highlighting these areas, the blog seeks to expand the knowledge base of residents and orthodontic professionals and stimulate thoughtful discussions within the community.

Commitment to Evidence-Based Practice

The creation of these flashcards is a testament to my commitment to evidence-based practice. By integrating clinical expertise with the best available research evidence, I aim to enhance patient care and treatment outcomes. These flashcards are designed to support residents in their education and training and orthodontic professionals in making informed, data-driven decisions that align with the highest standards of care.
